Pulmonary NTM Source of infection High numbers of … M. avium, M.intracellulare, and M. chelonae, recovered from aerosols produced by pouring commercialpotting soil and potting soil samples provided by patients with pulmonary mycobacterialinfections. Dominant mycobacteria in soil samples corresponded to dominant species implicatedclinically.
