  3. Registration • Athletic Office Forms • Online Form • Payment • All must be complete before the player is allowed to try-out for a team. • I must have a yellow slip from the Athletic Office • I must see the players name on my spreadsheet

  4. Costs • Participation Fee: $228 Checks to FLHS • Equipment Deposit: $100 Checks to FLHS • Uniform: $90 Checks to FLHS • Fundraising Deposit: $100 Checks to FLLBC (We must have this deposit before the player will know what team their on) • Checks are required unless there is a special circumstance

  5. Fundraising Deposits • Each player is required to sell 10 fundraising coupon cards. • If the player does not sell all 10 cards, the full $100 fundraising deposit will be deposited. • So, if the player sells 8 cards, the family should purchase the remaining 2 cards to avoid losing their deposit. • We’ve had no trouble selling the cards for the past 2 years.

  6. Paid Positions • Varsity Stat Keeper - $25 per game maximum of 2 people need to commit to full season • Table Worker - $20 per game, JV and Varsity games needed. Maximum of 4 people need to commit to all 5 home games.

  7. WE NEED HELP • Booster Club Splitting to Separate Boys’ and Girls’ Programs • Parents needed to fill the board positions • Fundraising Blitz April 9th – drivers needed • Prep Team hosting dates (5/4, 5/18) • Need volunteers from 8:30-5pm • Table workers • Concessions sales • Bleacher Parents • Fishing Contest • Silent auction • Prizes • Lunch • Raffle • Officials

  8. FLAAA • Coaches needed at U11 and U13 levels • Players will be asked to volunteer coach

Schedule • Practice (always 3:30-5) locations will vary this year • 3 locations – High School, CLC, FLAAA Fields • Players are encouraged to use time before practice to finish homework or get to the field and work on individual skills • Non drivers should take the activity bus to practice and arrange to be picked up after practice. • There will be two busses to each game: JV and Varsity • There will be no busses to prep team games • Every event will be posted on the master calendar

  12. Expectations - Coaches • Ensure Fairness • Put players in positions to achieve goals • Listen • Make final decisions • Keep focus on goals, individual and team

  14. School • School is more important than Lacrosse • Any school violation will be taken very seriously – no matter how small

  17. Safety • Like any competitive contact sport, Lacrosse players can sustain serious injury. • Emergency Response Plan • Baseline Concussion (Recommended) $5 per player

  18. Pre-Season Clinics • Players who’ve never played for the high school are welcome to attend • Basic skills instruction • March 26th and 28th 7:30-9pm @ field house

  19. Try-outs • Monday • 3:30-5 Skills, Physical Fitness Assessment • 5:15-6:15 Classroom Systems Instruction • Tuesday • 3:30 – 5 Game Performance Assessment • Wednesday • Players assigned teams (Fundraising Deposit Must Be In) • Begin preparation for Saturday Scrimmages
