Background of Halti • Consortium enlargement: new customers • Customer orientation (one of the key values) • Responding to customers’ service needs(one ofthe strategic goals for 2004-2006) • Existing FinELib own administrative database (2000) • New tool for accessing subscription detailslocally • Distribute data simultaneously for different kind of users

New Features • Access to Halti divided in three levels: • FinELib staff only • Consortium member libraries and FinELib staff • Public information • Consortium members may access their own subscription data and export data from database (.csv format) • Subscriptions to e-resources • New kinds of tailored reports • Usage statistics • Admin functions

  8. System Architecture • Located in Oracle database server • User interface in Linux server with Apache 2 (server software) and PHP5 (script language)

  9. Reports • Contact information (members/publishers/vendors) • Subscriptions and prices • IP-addresses • Usage statistics (member/library sector/consortium level) • Parameters / usage trends • Etc.
