  1. Disparage- 1. To speak of or treat slightingly; depreciate; belittle: Do not disparage good manners. 2. To bring reproach or discredit upon; lower the estimation of: Yourbehavior will disparagethewholefamily.

  2. Laudable- deservingpraise;praiseworthy; commendable: Reorganizing the files was a laudable idea.

  3. Fiasco- A completeandignominiousfailure. The heavy rain caused a lot of flooding, and the picnic was a complete fiasco.

  4. Masticate- To chew. To keep from choking, you must masticate each piece of food completely.

  5. Eschew- To abstain or keep away from; shun; avoid: to eschewevil. That actor was once very outgoing, but now he eschews the paparazzi.

  6. Quell- 1. To suppress; put an end to; extinguish: The troops quelled therebellion quickly. 2. To vanquish;subdue. 3. To quiet or allay (emotions, anxieties, etc.): The child's mother quelled his fearsofthethunder.

  7. Voluble- Characterized by a readyandcontinuousflowof words; fluent; glib; talkative: He was a volublespokesmanforthecause.

  8. Confidant-A closefriend or associate to whom secrets areconfided  or with whom private matters and problems are discussed. We all should have a confidant with whom we can talk with from time to time.

  9. Obsolescence- The state,process,orconditionofbeingorbecomingobsolete. The obsolescence built into computer is done so that consumers have to buy new ones every few years.

  10. Dubious- 1. Doubtful; marked by or occasioning doubt: a dubious reply. 2. Of doubtfulquality or propriety; questionable: a dubious compliment; a dubioustransaction. 3. Of uncertain outcome: in dubiousbattle. 4. Wavering or hesitating in opinion; inclined todoubt. The police were dubious of his response as to who stole the jewelry.
