  2. Neurologists • A neurologist is someone who studies the features, diseases, and disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. • The word neurologist comes from the Latin root words “neuro,” which means “brain,” and “ology,” which means “study of.”

  3. School + Neurology • In order to become a neurologist , I’d have to go to school for about 5-8 years. I’d also have to take the Medical College Admission Test. He first 4 years I’ll have to go to a 4 year college or university and work on undergraduate work.I’d probably choose a major in pre-medicine or biology to have a better chance of getting in medical school. • During the next 4 years, I’d have to get accepted and go to medical school. • I could spend my ninth year in a hospital to apply the skills I used in Medical School and then move up to Neurology.

  9. PROS & CONS Pros: • I would love this job because I love helping people. • Also, I like the idea of studying the Nervous System and finding cures to different types of diseases. Cons: • I wouldn’t like the fact that I would have to see people who have traumas because I hate seeing people who are suffering • Using computers to access patients’ files would be a con for me.
