  6. Why are these “non-European” parts of the world technically members of the EU? Candidate countries

  7. Warsaw Pact& NATO(North Atlantic Treaty Organization)

  8. The Warsaw Pact military alliance collapsed after the fall of the USSR.

  9. BTW, you can tell who runs countries located along the Sahel? Pan-Arabism hasn’t really succeeded.

  12. Originally thought to compete with the supranationalism of the EU but quickly devolved into a so so quasi economic association once American politicians realized they’d have to raise taxes in the USA to pay for improvements in Mexico. NAFTA North American Free Trade Agreement

  13. More of an economic association / cartel than a Supranationalist organization. OPEC Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries

  14. Organization of African Unity OAU Division between North Africa (Arabs) and Sub-Saharan Africa (Black Africans) has proven to be the main stumbling block. Kwame Nkrumah’s dream of a Pan-African “United States of Africa” aint going to happen.
