Opportunities for Involvement • The TIM Network forms Working Groups periodically to address specific issues • Involvement includes • Participation in team conference calls to synthesize issues • Micro-volunteer opportunities to provide information • Opportunity to review new information before it is released

On-Scene Trauma Working Group • After care for responders is important and needs greater consideration for traffic incidents • Opportunity to prepare an Annex for use as well as basic training • “vicarious liability” – when stress is left unaddressed, it can build up. This point reiterates the need for training. • Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Teams are very effective. Peers train each other. Also, these Teams work well with folks who think “this isn’t affecting me.”
