    21. How else can we raise money Large Donations – Foundations, wealthy individuals, etc… Smaller donors, Sangha centered support. A wider base of smaller donors is preferred. Basic expenses can be covered by: 50 people @ $100/month 100 people @ $10/week We’ve had a number of talks with people in the interfaith and philanthropic community in Louisville. We’ve gotten a lot of good responses, but not much money. With the current trends in donations and attendance at teachings and meditation, it wouldn’t take much to cover expenses. 22. Community Foundation of Louisville DGI has established a fund to accept donations through the Community Foundation of Louisville. This is an ideal way to raise money for our building and other large projects. It is also gives us the capability of accepting gifts of stock, insurance, real estate and other assets, and other non-cash large gifts CFLouisville.org click donate online and select Drepung Gomang Institute to donate by credit card. Show webpage with donate to DGI line at end of presentation. Describe what Community Foundation is. See website for more information. We’ll also have a handout with mailing information and instructions for checksShow webpage with donate to DGI line at end of presentation. Describe what Community Foundation is. 23. Long Term Goals Pay off Building Purchase or build separate monk living space Be able to provide significant support for monastery. Even replace tour income Make DGI and Louisville a center of Tibetan Buddhist study and scholarship. Other ideas???

    24. DGI Board and Committees Grounds and Building Merchandise Event planning Teachings and Education Membership Outreach to other Buddhist groups Interfaith outreach In my opinion, we need to talk about how people can help and that for the long term, DGI needs to be developing new leadership. With the building purchase, we’ve gained links to the Vietnamese Buddhist community. We need to build on this and also reach out to other Buddhist, particularly Gomang and other Tibetan Buddhist centers.
