Tess excelled at backstroke Hannah preferred freestyleand Ben loved butterfly

Ms. L’s four children all swam on their high school swim team.

Emily was a breaststroker


  • During practice they would swim 50 meter sprints which required them to swim laps of the pool.

  • Emily swam 50m breaststroke in sec.

  • Tess swam 50m backstroke in sec.

  • Hannah swam 50m freestyle in sec.

  • Ben swam 50m butterfly in sec.


If all four swimmers started simultaneously, how many seconds would pass before they all touched the same wall at the same time? When would 2 or more things happen at the same time?= LCM Problem
