  2. The Baseball Cap • This is the top view of a baseball cap. • From the tip of the beak to the end of the hat it measures 30 cm. • From the tip of the beak to the beginning to the hat it measures 10 cm. • What is the circumference of the hat? • Draw this circle in mm

The Soda Pack • There are 24 cans of soda and they are arranged in 4 rows of 6. Each can has a radius of 5.6 cm and a height of 15 cm. These cans are to be packed snuggly into a case with no extra space on the top, bottom, or sides. • How much empty space will not be occupied by a can in the box. • Draw this circle in cm

  4. The Pizza • Some pizzas come with cheese inside the crust. • If the area of the pizza 570 cm, how long will the ring of cheese be inside the crust of the pie? • If the pizza costs $14.99 plus 5 cents per cm of cheese in the crust, what’s the total cost of the pie? • Draw this circle in mm

  5. The Helicopter Pad • A golf course decides to build a helicopter pad in order to better service its high end clients. In order to accommodate large aircrafts, the pad must have a diameter of 6.5 m. • What is the area of the pad? • If a paving company charges $1589 to pave the pad, how much did the course pay per square meter? • Draw this circle in cm

  6. The Gift • After the play, Mrs. Dennison is presented with a bottle of wine to thank her for her hard work. The wine comes is a cylindrical container. The container has a height of 21cm and a width (diameter) of 8cm. • If the kids in the play have $10 and wrapping paper costs 2 cents per square centimetre, will they have enough cash to wrap the gift? • Draw this circle in cm
