  1. A TALE OF TWO ETERNITIESPART 1: HELL IS REAL – LUKE 16:19-31

  2. In the New Testament alone there are over 160 warnings of Hell’s reality and over 70 of these references are made the Lord himself. This place is described as a place of everlasting fire (Mt. 18:8), everlasting punishment (Mt. 25:46), everlasting chains (Jude 6), eternal damnation (Mark 3:29) and darkness (2 Peter 2:17). It is a place of no hope, no relief and no end.

  3. The sad reality is this, one day each and every person who rejects Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will spend eternity in hell. These are people that you see every day at work, people you pass in the grocery store, friends you spend weekends with even family members you live with! It is no surprise that Jesus said, “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell,” (Mt. 10:28).

  4. I. Hell is REAL II. Hell is ETERNAL III. Hell is TORMENT IV. Hell is HOPELESS V. Hell is JUST VI. Hell is AVOIDABLE

  5. Then he said, “I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.” Abraham said to him, “They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.” And he said, “No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.” But he said to him, “If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead,” Luke 16:27-31.

  6. I commend and urge you this morning to be persuaded by God’s Word that Hell is real and that day of salvation is at hand. Call on the name of the Lord and You will be saved!
