  3. 2011 CELLA Results Florida’s 2010 - 2011 ELL population: 257,392 • 245,625 ELLs were assessed during the 2011 CELLA administration • 97% of the ELLs completed all four domains of listening, speaking, reading, and writing • 1.7% increase from the 2010 CELLA Administration Source: Florida Department of Education - 2010 and 2011 CELLA Score Reports

  6. What’s New? Indicates changes implemented on districts’ feedback provided through the 2011 CELLA Customer Satisfaction Survey.

  7. Pre-ID Student Labels & Roster Pre-ID Student Labels • ELLs enrolled in the district as of January 6, 2012, and submitted in Survey 7 will have student Pre-ID labels. Survey 7 Due Date: January 3, 2012 Pre-ID Student Roster • Electronic form available via ServicePoint.

  8. When can a Pre-ID be used? • In order to use the Pre-ID label, the following must be correct: • Student Last Name • Student ID Number • District Number • School Number • Grade Level • ELL Status NEW

  9. Braille and Large-Print Enrollments Braille and Large-Print document counts are pre-populated on ServicePoint with information provided for the 2011 CELLA administration. Entry Dates: November 14, 2011 – December 16, 2011

  10. CELLA Training Materials • For the 2012 CELLA administration, the Train-the-Trainer Manual and CD are discontinued. • The Train-the-Trainer PowerPoint presentation will be exclusively available on the FDOE-CELLA website. • Training CDs for Speaking are now non-secure materials.

  11. NEW for School Shipments Training Materials Shipment CELLA Test Booklets are not included. Testing Materials Shipment “District Coordinator Only” White Boxes are now the 1st Box of the school’s shipment and has a black stripe across to differentiate from District boxes.

CELLA Manuals Directions for Administration (DFA) • Scripts are surrounded by boxes • Yellow Cover to distinguish from TAM • Scoring Guides grouped and placed to the back of manual to conduct training Test Administration Manual (TAM) • New location for: • CELLA Test Accommodations • Scoring Rubrics Handouts

CELLA Test Materials • FDOE recommends that the administrator write the student’s name on the Level B, C, and D Test Booklets for assignment and tracking purposes. • Levels B, C, and D are separated and color-coded to corresponding test book. • New colors for Level C (Light Brown) and Level D (Green) 1

CELLA Test Security • CELLA Administration Record/Security Checklist • FDOE recommends that School Coordinators retrieve their pre-populated document on ServicePoint to track secure materials. • Secure documents have “SECURE MATERIAL – MUST RETURN” printed above the security number. • EXAMPLE

Return of CELLA Materials • Return Instructions are separated: • To-Be-Scored Materials • Not-To-Be-Scored Materials • District Coordinator ONLY (white) box • To-Be-Scored Return Shipping labels now referred to as “Peach.” • District Coordinator ONLY items • If appropriate, School Coordinators may return non-secure materials to the District Coordinator in a envelope versus the white box.
