  4. Current Work WebGeocalc (NAIF funding) – Finishing work toward initial alpha release, as decided by NAIF; user testing and refinement. PDS4 Object Library – Java library for reading and writing PDS4 data, and performing conversions. Currently support tables, images, and arrays, plus selected table and image conversions. Working toward initial release, coordinated with EN. Tool integration with ODE – (Just begun) Links from ODE to table and image browser (from Google-funded research). Tool maintenance – Updates of Volume Validator to reflect new PDS DD and tools library; respond to user issues (few). PDS4 Feedback and Testing

  5. PDS4 Testing Tested ability to create Java bindings for XML labels in builds 2b, 2c, and beta 3a (0900B). Tested ability to read sample labels and data from Java: samples from official deliveries, tabular data supplied by PPI and GEO, and additional samples of images and array data created by UCD. Reported label errors, model omissions, and modeling problems to EN and DDWG. Still finding issues that would make tool development easier (which would lead to more PDS4 tools sooner) and reduce complexity for scientists and label designers. Currently testing PDS4 object library with 0900B schemas for release with build 3a.
