  1. Communication is an important part of human existence. A mother also feeds her kid only when they start crying. Crying here is a way to communicate. As we have already established with the help of mother and child example, that the communication need not necessarily be verbal, it can also be non- verbal in the form of hand gestures, body postures, eye movements etc. But, the challenge is to make the communication effective. Well, communication skills training course can help achieve that goal. The most important points to be kept in mind for the purpose of effective communication are- 1. Clarity- Whatever you speak should be properly formulated in order to maintain the clarity of the correspondence. 2. Conciseness-Say whatever you want to concisely, i.e., in less words but, convey the whole meaning at the same time. 3. Confidence- Confidence makes people pay attention and listen to you. Also the more confident you are, more are your words convincing to your audience. 4. Respect- No one can always be 100% right. Give importance to the other person and their opinions in order to have effective communication. 5. Empathy- It is very important to be able to put yourself in another person’s shoes and see for yourself as to what they might be feeling. 6. Listening- The most important effective communication tool is the listening. It is noteworthy that hearing and listening are two different things. Listening means hearing as well as understanding too. 7. Body language- Body language also plays a very important role in effective communication. Sometimes, just a nod conveys what your words want to say or the way you sit can indicate your interest or disinterest in the situation. 8. Assertiveness- Being assertive means to be able to stand for what you believe in or in some cases even for others. But, this means being calm in the situation the counterview is introduced. 9. Negotiation- Negotiation means to arrive at an agreement which is acceptable to both the parties. 10. Simple- The last point just means that rather than using the jargon, the simple language can suffice in front of the people who are not a part of the relevant industry.
