  2. Mission To promote the healthy socio-emotional development and well-being of infants and young children and support their families strengths.

  3. Objectives • SPA Capacity Building • Workforce Development Training & Technical Assistance • Program & Policy Development

  4. SPA Capacity Building Enhance local SPA agency & community capacity to address the mental health needs of young children and families • Support interagency Prenatal to Five (P25) Collaboratives • Collaborate with the Children’s PlanningCouncil in support of Community Building initiatives - including Parent Education, Advocacy and Leadership Training as well as Institutional Partners Training • Provide T&TA to: - Specialized Foster Care Mental Health Services Initiative staff and - MHSA Full Service Partnership (FSP) Providers serving children 0-5

  5. Workforce DevelopmentTraining & Technical Assistance Provide ongoing interdisciplinary training for providers and parents on topics such as: - infant mental health - developmental screening - assessment and diagnosis - best/promising practices and intervention approaches - reflective supervision

  6. Program& PolicyDevelopment Collaboration with local, state, & national strategic partners: • First 5 LA (Child Health Works, School Readiness Centers, LA UP, LA’s Best Babies, Prenatal to Three Focus Area, EDSI) • Public/Private Funders Partnership • Early Identification and Intervention Group • L.A. County Prevention Initiatives • MHSOAC Prevention and Early Intervention Plan • ZERO TO THREE
