  1. Weight Training Monarch Power

  2. Safety First No Horseplay. Be aware of your surroundings. Use good technique. Follow Instructions. Use a spotter. Ask questions.

  3. Classroom Rules Be on time. Be mentally and physically prepared. Wear proper athletic attire. Athletic shoes and clothing are required. Be a good listener. Do not talk or interrupt during instruction. No electronic devices (ipods,cellphones,etc.)

  4. Expectations All students are expected to work to their potential. Each student should have long term and short term personal goals. Following the workout program each student should show significant strength increases.

  5. Parents There will be no homework, all work is done in class. Handouts will be given out on various topics. Ask your student to share these with you. You should make sure your student is eating properly to assist him in his fitness endeavor.

  6. Grading • All students begin the 6 weeks with a perfect 100 and are expected to maintain this mark. • Points are lost for the following: • Not dressing out -3 • Not dressed out /Not participating -5 • Tardy/Failure to complete plyometrics and exercises -2 • Dressed but not working out -2

  7. Testing Various maxes and tests are given throughout the 6 weeks. Students can gain or lose points based on test performance. The typical amount of points gained or lost is 3. Testing is physical in nature and students are judged on their own abilities. Student growth is based upon progression and pre-test performance.

  8. Class Goals Meet every lifters individual needs. Get Bigger, Faster, Stronger. Introduce every student to the benefits of weight training as a lifetime activity.

  9. Locker Rooms No Horseplay! Respect others. You will receive a locker and combination to use for your period only. Put away valuables. They are your responsibility. No loitering-get in and out on time.

  10. Monarch Power Take pride in your work. Encourage your classmates and teammates. You reap what you sow-Hard work pays off! You will not get the benefits of this class unless you put in the SWEAT EQUITY! Get Big!
