  1. Netflix is an American/Canadian provider of on demand internet streaming media available to North America, South America, the Caribbean, United Kingdom, Northern Europe, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Netherlands.

  2. 1997: NetFlix.com, Inc. was formed in California by Reed Hastings and Mark Randolph. 1998: The company begins offering DVD rentals and sales. 1999: Sales are halted; groups invests 30 Million in the film and subscription plan. 2000: Revenue sharing deals are signed with warner brothers and Columbia film studios. 2001: a partnership with Best Buy gives NetFlix exposure in 1800 stores. 2002: The company goes public and changes its name to Netflix Inc. 2003: subscribers top $1Million, and Netflix has its first profitable quarter. 2007: Introduction of video streaming services. 2011-2013: Reached up to 33 Million subscribers to 44 Million. (we had some minor technical difficulties in our survey, sorry we don’t have a lot of video and not a lot of time) SURVEY QUESTIONS!
