  2. What is the "project learning"?

  3. What is the "project learning"? • It is a powerful learning and teaching approach to promote self-directed learning. • It helps pupils to integrate generic skills, knowledge and values in the learning of GS.

  4. The characteristics of project learning • Unlike the classroom teaching, pupils are active constructors of knowledge. • Pupils have to raise questions, finds their own answers and look for the necessary information. • It is not necessary to seek for right answer in some situations, but rather seeking appropriate solutions to problems. • It encourages collaborative learning.

Teacher's role • Set clear learning aims and objectives with pupils. • Provide guidelines to enhance pupils’ understanding of the topic • Give guidance to pupils when they prepare their reports and oral presentations • Helps pupils to develop different generic skills being targeted in a particular project

  23. Do you understand the project learning? • Project learning is NOT: • Just a Collection of Information • Cut and paste of picture, web, and words • Pupils just wait for the teachers’ instruction
