  3. What We want to Find Is chipotle male dominate, over priced, and a burrito only lunch option? (That’s the stereotype were trying to prove wrong)

  4. How We Collected Data • Went to three different Chipotle’s • Valley Square, Willow Grove, North Wales • Varied days/times • Asked for permission- listened in on orders • Recorded into charts • Recorded prices

  6. Gender Vs. Meal Exploratory Data Analysis • Male and Female most common order is Burrito at 35/69 • No Females ordered other • The average of female burritos is 48.28% and male is 52.5%

  8. Conditions Met - χ² Test of Homogeneity We fail to reject that the distribution of gender and meal type is distributed uniformly because the p-value of 0.48 is greater than α= 0.05. We have sufficient evidence that the true distribution of gender and meal type is distributed uniformly.

  9. Total Meal Prices 5 # Summary The histogram is unimodal, and roughly symmetric. There is an outlier at $2. 95 and $4.50 (LF=7.5-1.5(8.9-7.5) because it is lower than $5.40, the lower fence. There is an outlier at $12.95 and $11.60 (UF= 8.9+1.5(8.9-7.5) because they are greater than $11, the upper fence.

  15. Personal Opinions • Chipotle is more of a male restaurant • Burritos #1 Meal • Not overpriced • Stephen: Burrito • Carnitas • No beans • No Guac • Salsa • Cheese • Corn • Kevin: Burrito • Chicken • Beans • Guac • Salsa • Better than Moe’s!

  16. Bias and Error • Possibly misheard an order • Added up prices wrong • Groups of people with similar likes or trying same thing

Conclusion • No association between meal and meal type, we cannot say that Chipotle is actually a lunch burrito place • It is not overpriced because average cost is only $7.95 per meal, which is less than $10 and just $1.60 more than the basic meal available • It cannot be said that Chipotle is only a male place, there was a fairly even distribution between males and females

  18. Whenever I come to Philadelphia, I always eat a nice Chipotle burrito, and the Eagles.
