Municipal Partnership Program • a form of cooperation financed by Sida that is designed to contribute to municipal and regional operations in high-priority partnership countries in the form of result-oriented projects. • There must also be a mutual interest in partnership in which Swedish municipalities clearly benefit from the projects implemented. • Coordinated by the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy; ICLD

Project 1: Sustainable Strategies for Sustainable Education(Dnr 2012-0018) • Partners: • Cau Giay, DOET and • City of Umeå, Department of Compulsaryschool and Kindergarten • Timeperiod: 2012-07-01 –2015-06-30 • Specificobjectives for this project are the following; 1. to enhance competence within both organizations in order for improving their capacity to advocate for ESD in their own cities, and in other settings, 2. to support efforts in the partner organizations in order to improve their capacity to advocate for ESD in their own cities, and in other settings, 3. to develop strategic plans for ESD in both of the partner organizations, which are focused on short, medium and long-term change and results

Sustainable Strategies for Sustainable Education(Dnr 2012-0018) Participants: City of Umeå Gunnar Olofsson - Head of Development Department for Education Erika Åberg – Head of School of Environment Gun Stolt - Head of School District Ann-Britt Hägglöf – Head of School District CauGiayDistrict Mrs Bui Thi Van Anh – The Head of CauGiayDoET. Mr Nguyen Ngoc Phuc – English Specialist of CauGiayDoET. Mrs Nguyen Thi Tao – Vice Principal of TrungHoa secondary school. Mrs Le Kim Anh – Vice Principal of CauGiay secondary school.

Project 2:Integrated Management Processes for ESD(Dnr 2012-0019) • Partners: • Cau Giay, DOET and • City of Umeå, Department of Compulsaryschool and Kindergarten • Timeperiod: 2012-07-01 –2015-06-30 • Specificobjectives for this project are the following; 1. to expose teachers, staff and pupils for ESD-work in another country, 2. to, in a joint effort between schools in Umeå and Hanoi, communicate this collaboration on different platforms in both cities and countries, 3. to, and most important; give input from a school perspective to the collaborating parties in the strategic project, in order for making school management sensitive to conditions and needs at the school level were teachers, other staff and pupils interact.

Integrated Management Processes for ESD(Dnr 2012-0019) Participants: The City of Umeå Marie Karling – Principal, Hedlundaskolan Pian Rosell – Principal, Tomtebogård Christine Jokijärvi – Teacher, Tomtebogård Linnea Palm –Principal, Hedlundaskolan CauGiay District Mr Tran Van Ha – Specialist of CauGiayDoET – Responsible for Primary schools in CauGiay District. Mrs Do Thi Mai – Principal of DichVong B Primary school. MrsDinh Thi Tuyet Mai - Specialist of CauGiayDoET – Responsible for Pre- schools in CauGiay District. Mrs Vu Ngoc Du – Principal of Mai Dich Kindergarten in Cau Giay District.

Project 3: Management and Coordination (Dnr2012-0020) • Partners: • CauGiay, DOET and • City of Umeå, DepartmentofCompulsaryschool and Kindergarten • Timeperiod: 2012-07-01 –2015-06-30 • Specific objectives for this project are to give guidelines to coordinators/project managers and project-leaders, learn and communicate, follow-up and evaluate.

Management and Coordination (Dnr2012-0020) Participants: The City of Umeå Margareta Rönngren – Member of the Municipality Council, Umeå Peter Sedlacek – Member of the Municipality Council, Umeå Ann-Christine Gradin – Manager of Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School, City of Umeå Cathrin Alenskär – Manager of International Affairs, City of Umeå Can Giay District Mrs Bui Thi Van Anh – The Head of CauGiayDoET. Mrs Nguyen Thi Tao - The Vice principal of TrungHoa secondary school. Mr Tran Van Ha – Specialist of CauGiayDoET – The head of primary group. MrsDinh Thi Tuyet Mai - Specialist of CauGiayDoET – The head of kindergarten group
