  6. [48] he is like a man building a house, • who DUGDEEP • and LAID a FOUNDATIONUPON the ROCK; • and when a flood rose, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, • BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN WELLBUILT.

  9. Foundational Truth #1 • from 1 Corinthians 3:11 • [11] Forno man can lay a FOUNDATION other than the one which is laid, • WHICH IS JESUSCHRIST.

  10. Foundational Truth #2 • FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURES: • Are Scriptures on which we can BUILD our FAITH! • Are Scriptures which TEACH us to PLACE our TRUSTIN Jesus and what the Father has done through Him!

  11. Mark 10:27 • [27] Looking upon them, Jesus said, • “With men it is impossible, but not with God; forALL THINGS are POSSIBLE WITH GOD.”

  12. Foundational Truth #3 • TRUSTING God can REMOVE the word “IMPOSSIBLE” from our vocabulary!

  13. Romans 12:1-3 • [1] I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to PRESENT your BODIES a LIVING and HOLYSACRIFICE, • ACCEPTABLE to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

  14. [2] And DO NOT CONFORM YOURSELF to this world, • butALLOW YOURSELF to be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND, • thatyou MAYPROVE what the WILL of God IS, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

  16. Foundational Truth #4 • from Romans 12:1-3 • To PRESENT your BODY as a LIVING and HOLYSACRIFICE, • YOU MUST be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND!

  17. Joshua 5:13-15 –A Lesson to be Learned • [13] Now it came about when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand, and Joshua went to him and said to him, • “Are you for us or for our adversaries?”

  18. [14] And he said, • “No, rather I indeed come now as captain of the host of the LORD.” • And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down, and said to him, • “What has my lordto SAY to his SERVANT?”

  19. [15] And the captain of the LORD’S host said to Joshua, • “REMOVE your sandals from your feet, • for the PLACEWHERE you are STANDING is HOLY.” • And Joshua DID SO.

  20. Foundational Truth #5 • fromJoshua 5:13-15 • Joshua asked the wrong question, • “Are you for us or for our adversaries?” • The MORE IMPORTANT question is, • “WHOSE SIDE AM ‘I’ON?!?”

  29. Foundational Truth #7 • Ask yourself… • “Have I DENIEDMYSELF in order to FOLLOWJesus?” • “Have I TRULY TAKEN UPmy CROSS?” • “Have I CRUCIFED myself with Christ?”
