  3. Course Coefficients and Promotion RequirementsA General end of year average of 70 is required for promotion to 7th Terminales.

  4. STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES Organizedthrough • support classes (during the advisoryperiod), • Orientation sessions.

  5. STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES : • Psychological Support: Adolescence is a difficulttransitional phase. The class advisor and schoolpsychologist are available to guarantee the necessary support. If the studentsuffersfromanyspecificadjustmentdifficulty, the schoolpsychologistisavailable for support and regularfollow up. Shewillbe in constant communication with the class advisor and parents.

  6. b). Academic Support: If your child faces academic difficulties in one or more subjects, reinforcement classes will be offered. His/her advisor or teacher will invite you to a conference to communicate the difficulties and explore possible solutionsC). Medical Support:During the year, if any medical condition arises, the administration, school physician and nurse will be in constant communication with you . If your child suffers from any prolonged medical condition, a medical report is required. All confidential information is kept with the administration.HELP US TO HELP YOUR CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES (cont.)

IMPORTANT DATES 2013 – 2014 Academic year November 20: first progress report issued Week of November 25: parent teacher meetings for students with academic problems January 20 - 24 : semester 1 (mid year)examinations February 11 : Semester I report sheets issued Week of February 17: parent teacher meetings for students with academic problems Semester I September 2013 – January 2014 Ends with the Mid Year cumulative exams Semester II February 2014 – June 2014 Ends with the Final Exam cumulative exams

How Does IC Prepare its students for University Studies • SAT 1. 5th & 2nde Class: • Atbeginning of the year, the studentssit for a PSAT exam • English teacher trains students for their SAT (1 period per week) 2. 6th & 1ère class: • IC in collaberationwith AMIDEAST organise SAT sessions in English and Math during the year • English teacher trains students for their SAT (1 period per week) 3. Graduating Classes • English teacher trains students for their SAT (1 period per week)

How Does IC Prepare its students for University Studies (cont.) • Career Guidance • Mrs. Mona Shbaklo, Dean of Students is responsible for orienting students towards local universities (AUB, LAU, USJ….). Through out the year, guest speakers are invited from the various majors at these universities to give an orientation session about the majors concerned. • Mrs. Randa Soubeih, our foriegn colleges councellor is responsible for orienting students towards foreign English speaking universities. She arranges for meetings with speakers from these universities. These orientation sessions are announced on our IC website. • Mr Rida Saleh is in charge of university orientation (French speaking ie USJ or other universities abroad )
