  5. Pop art Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist's use of the mass-produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of fine art. Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object, or combines it with other objects, for contemplation. The concept of pop art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.

  6. Original Campbell’sreadymade- Pop art The Campbell soup is one of the most recognizable images of every American, something so vulgar as can be in our society, Chupa-Chups, the Cola-Cao containers or cans of anchovies. The package is presented frontally to be clearly visible logo of your company. The work suggests a mechanical uniformity that is repeated in thousands ofhomes that have a similar object, a banal, everyday representation of the spirit of our time. The drawing looks like advertising reproductions, including photographicappearances do not bother the painter who tries to provoke and even ridicule the American consumer society.

  7. Andy Warhol Andy WarholaJr.Was born August 6 1928 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Known as Andy Warhol, was an American painter, printmaker, and filmmaker who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. After a successful career as a commercial illustrator, Warhol became famous worldwide for his work as a painter, avant-garde filmmaker, record producer, author, and member of highly diverse social circles that included Bohemian street people, distinguished intellectuals, Hollywood celebrities and wealthy patrons. He died February 22, 1987 New York City.

  8. Consumerism Consumerism is a social and economic order that is based on the systematic creation and fostering of a desire to purchase goods and services in ever greater amounts. The term is often associated with criticisms of consumption starting with Thorstein Veblen. Veblen's subject of examination, the newly emergent middle class arising at the turn of the twentieth century, comes to full fruition by the end of the twentieth century through the process of globalization.
