  2. Status • Dates • Oct. 7-10, 2012 • Expectations • 1 first evening reception + 3 days • Two rooms for simultaneous sessions • Morning/afternoon coffee breaks • 100-120 on-site guests • Up to 50 more off-site guests from Silicon Valley (no lodging) • Daily lunch buffet

  3. Hotel • Dream Inn –$159/night, recently remodeled, close, ocean view • http://www.dreaminnsantacruz.com • Will provide other “low cost” hotels, but won’t have reserved room block

  5. Meeting SpaceFloorplan • Conference held at the hotel • 3 Meeting rooms (with Ocean view) • 3,500 square feet • Up to 250 people (more like 160) • We will divide these 3 rooms into a large and small session room • No pictures, but it is nice!

  7. MOU Status • IFIP, UCSC, and IEEE CEDA have signed it • In process of submitting to IEEE CASS • Need additional budget and past conference information

  8. Call for Papers Status • Ricardo Reis is working on the CFP • Was sent pictures of Santa Cruz, Dream Inn, Beach Boardwalk • To be ready by ISCAS (May)

  9. Web Site • Web site space is reserved at • http://vlsisoc2012.soe.ucsc.edu/ • No content yet • Need to populate it with content and possibly select a skin/theme • Who wants to be webmaster?

  10. Next Steps • Will solicit TPC members from WG and prior TPCs in the next months • Sign venue contract after IEEE CASS signs MOU • Start setting up Easychair for paper review
