Alarming Statistics Alarming Statistics • 72% of the National Academy of Sciences areatheists, 21% agnostic, 7% admit belief in God. • Number of people w/o any religious affiliation doubled in 10 years. • Church membership has steadily declined since the 1950's. • 30% of all adults say same-sex relationships are morally acceptable. • 42% of all adults say any sex w/o marriage morally acceptable. • 33%of born again adults say abortion morally acceptable. • Only 48% of adults say the Bible is accurate in its teachings.

Alarming Statistics Alarming Statistics • 56% who attend church say they are committed to the Christian faith. • 75% w/o religion were raised w/o religion. • Thoseraisedinmultiplereligionsmore than twice as likely to have no religion as adults. • Those under 35 years old most likely to be without religion. • 44% of adults practice a different religion than the one they were raised with, shop for a church. • Only 20% of children raised in denominations continue in their faith. • Only 50% of children raised in churches of Christ continue to be faithful.
