  1. RESEARCH POSTER TEMPLATES • to help communicate OB/Gyn research • A note about these templates • Your use of these templates helps increase awareness of research in our department, helps increase our reputation as a department that does excellent research, and increases our visibility as a whole. Because of this, we ask that you not change the colors or style of these templates without consulting with VPHA Marketing (color guidelines are below). Consistent use of our brand supports awareness and recognition and leverages the benefit of the UI Health System as a whole in support of your research. Please feel free to resize or reshape the text areas to fit your research project’s needs. • If you have unique needs for your poster, contact us and we can work with you to create something that matches our brand guidelines and that fits your needs! • A note about logos • On each template, there are two logos: • UIC Logo for our academic unit • UI Health System logo. • When you insert logos or other images into this powerpoint, .png is the best format for images – this format best retains the quality of the image or logo in Microsoft documents. When you resize logos or images, please hold down the shift key to retain the original proportions. • If you need help using these templates, please email Cindy • A note about fonts • Arial is used in these because it is a system font for Microsoft, and thus found on every computer. The font for the UI Health System is actually Gotham. If you are interested in downloading and using gotham, please visit our marketing toolkit for the font (and other resources!). Note: If you are using a hospital computer, you will be able to login automatically. If not, please register with your netID and password of your choice. Also, if you are using a hospital computer, you will need to have IS install the font on your computer. • Health System Colors

  2. Figures Figures should be in the colors below with wide white borders. White text should be used as data labels when the label fits inside the figure, or the color of the chart element if it is outside. Subheadings can be used to delineate sections of results (such as the “Chart Examples” subheader below). Figure titles can be in all caps in a different color (such as a dark grey). Colors The colors for figures and charts are below. CHART EXAMPLES FIGURE 1. NUMBER OF CHILDREN
