  2. Communication Folders • Students responsibility to take home, get signed, and bring back daily. • Folder includes behavior calendar, homework calendar, and other information. • If folder is damaged/lost, it is your responsibility to replace it.

  3. Homework • Students will have a homework calendar located in the communication folder. • The homework calendar must remain in the communication folder. The teacher will exchange it each month. • Please initial each day that your student has completed the homework and read for 15 minutes. • It is not necessary to have your student bring the homework to school, your initial lets us know they have completed it.

  12. Expectations • Please ensure your child’s backpack is checked/cleaned out nightly. • Being on time and daily attendance are very important to your child’s success in 1st grade. • Please try to schedule appointments outside of school hours or late in the day.

  13. Parent/Teacher Communication • Calendar events, wish lists, and up-to-date information will be available on the teacher web pages. • Teachers will return phone calls before or after school. • Preferred method of communication is email which will be addressed promptly. • Communication is key to the success of all our students, so please use email or contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

  14. Volunteers • If you would like to volunteer in the classroom or attend any field trip, you must complete a Volunteer Packets and be cleared. • If you have been cleared within the last year you don’t need to complete another packet.
