  2. Fine Arts Program rated Exemplary The Gonzalez music and art program did a phenomenal job representing our campus at the district level as well as out in the community. Students participated in many art competitions, U.I.L. events, and various concerts including a concert at the Sunrise Mall. GONZALEZ ELEMENTARY

Insert picture(s) here Wellness and Physical Education Programs rated Exemplary The Gonzalez Elementary P.E. staff did an amazing job getting students to participate in the basketball, football, and track events. They took the C.A.T.C.H. initiative to a new level this year. GONZALEZ ELEMENTARY

  4. Insert picture(s) here Community and Parental Involvement rated Recognized Gonzalez parents were always willing to give a helping hand and participate in campus events and weekly meetings. Parents were extremely instrumental in making sure our community service projects were successful. This year, over $5,000. were raised in the Pennies for Patients project. GONZALEZ ELEMENTARY

  5. 21st Century Workforce Development rated Recognized The counselors did an amazing job coordinating the annual Career Fair with over 20 presenters from throughout our community. Our students had a blast and walked out of this event with a wealth of knowledge! GONZALEZ ELEMENTARY

  6. Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Exemplary Our students enjoyed the many opportunities to participate in after school and Saturday tutorials as well as science academies. We had over 600 At-Risk students participating in the accelerated instruction this year! GONZALEZ ELEMENTARY

  7. Second Language Acquisition Program Recognized Charro Days festivities provided students with a cultural awareness experience and teachers, students, and staff participated in this exciting celebration. GONZALEZ ELEMENTARY

  8. Digital Learning Environment rated Recognized Gonzalez teachers supported technology integrated in instruction. Students worked in small groups with the iPads. Teachers received multiple trainings on the usage of new software the district recommended such as the Think Through Math and I-station. GONZALEZ ELEMENTARY

  9. Gifted and Talented Program rated Recognized One of our two Destination Imagination teams advanced to state. Our students had an opportunity to participate in Science Fair, UIL, and D.I. local competitions. All our Gonzalez teachers are G.T. certified and participated in on-going trainings throughout the year. GONZALEZ ELEMENTARY
