  4. Progress & Results (cont’d) Observations a. Most of the office equipment manufacturers had submitted the application to USEPA for approval. b. There is no copier manufacturer in Taiwan. c. Either fax machine or printer made in Taiwan does not meet the current Energy Star specification.

Demonstration of Energy-saving for Buildings • Initial survey of candidates • Selection of two demonstration buildings (one department store and one office building) • Formation of expert group (11 experts) • Energy audit (lighting and air-conditioning) performed by expert group • Audit report submitted to building owners • Audit of result of improvement (to be done this year)
