What Members Said: EIA 2011-2012 Member Survey Tell us if the EIA Mission Statement is still relevant or should be revised. • Still relevant? – 60% say yes • Needs revision? • “Empowering educational entrepreneurs.” • Should say more about ensuring members’ quality, accountability. • Should be bigger and bolder. • Should be shorter/more concise.

What Members Said: EIA 2011-2012 Member Survey Please add any additional comments you want to be considered as part of the Board’s strategic planning meeting later this month. • Focus more on emerging issues, not the old ones. • Think forward, help members get beyond SES. • Continue to defend market-based/for-profit competition in K-12 learning. • Start online as well as international special interest sections. • EIA is very helpful and supportive.

What Members Said: EIA 2011-2012 Member Survey List 3-5 opportunities/activities that EIA could do in order to deliver greater relevance/value to its members. • Industry research; be on cutting edge of trends; deliver members more information. • Facilitate more networking, including more state and local events, webinars. • Support members’ access to accreditation. • Broaden advocacy efforts at the federal and state levels. • Identify and help members apply for grants and similar opportunities.
