The importance of this topic • Essential contribution to the evolution of CR and sustainability related executive learning. • The cost of learning versus organisation benefit. • Threat of disconnect between increased expectations in executives which conflict with organisation culture. • To inform the development of effective CR related interventions to contribute to organisation strategy and development. Questions to address • What is the current effectiveness of CR teaching offered in UK? • How does UK CR teaching compare with other countries? • What is the definition of effective CR learning intervention in terms of strategic contribution to OD? • What are the examples – good and bad? • What is the comparative impact between good and bad examples? • How should future CR related executive learning programmes be structured to be effective? What might be understood or known as a result • Explicit understanding of what is required from an organisation to accommodate and utilise the executive learning as a contribution to organisational development. • The true cost of ineffective CR teaching programmes which are not conducive to the prevailing business culture. • How to develop effective CR leadership and executive development programmes.
