The Industrial Technologies segment offers product identification; precision motion control equipment; aircraft and defense equipment; and sensors and controls that measure and control discrete manufacturing variables, such as temperature, position, quantity, level, flow, and time. The Tools and Components segment produces mechanics’ hand tools, including ratchets, sockets, and wrenches, as well as specialized automotive service tools for the professional and ‘do-it-yourself’ markets. The company was formerly known as Diversified Mortgage Investors, Inc. and changed its name to Danaher Corporation in 1984. Danaher Corporation was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.
