  3. Germany • Born in Germany on April 29 1785. He was the inventor of the bicycle. He was born in the town of Karlsruhe in Germany.

  4. Biographer • He studied science as biology. The college he went to was called Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg. He also studied architecture agriculture.

  5. He influenced the society… • Karl influenced the society by building the bicycle. He built the first motorized personal transportation device. He helped the world move and go places.

  6. Interesting facts!!!!!!! • Drais also invented a number of other muscle powered vehicles = a quad, a tricycle and a tandem version of the running machine. None of these vehicles were successful, but Drais' ideas helped the way for future designs. • He was a servant to the Grand Duke Badenia’s forestry services.

  7. Where he worked • Worked as a farmer in early life. • He also served the Grand Duke of Badenia’s forestry services. • Then he started inventing things and invented the bicycle.

  8. Summary • Karl Drais was a amazing inventor. He invented the bicycle. He is very famous for making the bicycle. He created the first motorized personal transportation device. He also tried to make other transportation devices but they didn’t make it like his bicycle. Karl’s invention changed the world his bicycle helped the world by letting it move and go to new places.
