  10. Planning • 4-week plans (20 production days) • Weekly tail lamp production requirement schedule by month for each model is provided in exhibit 2. AIM: • To operate under just-in-time philosophy.

  13. Example • The problem: The capacity is not enough to satisfy the demand in department X. • Show that demand > capacity • How did you calculate the capacity? • Solution method: Buy a new machine • Is the investment cost justified?
