  2. Why A National Task Force?... • 6.5 Years in the making • No national review of AHSCs in close to 15 years • Significant health reform initiatives underway • Most, if not all, “weave” through the AHSC enterprise • How to optimize performance of AHSCs?

  3. Purpose of NTF?... • Produce a report, with recommendations, and implementation strategies to optimize the performance of AHSCs in Canada

  4. NTF Roles & Responsibilities?... • Responsible for achieving Terms of Reference • Guide & advise consultation process & commissioning of background research • Own report, recommendations, & implementation strategies • Communicate & engage stakeholder groups across respective communities • Operate at arms length
