Rapidly and completely degrades a wide variety of organic waste common in surface waters including dead weeds. As waste is digested it passes off as gasses and soluble compounds. These organisms help remove nitrogen sources from the water. Nitrogen is the main food source for weeds and algae. Reduce or eliminate sulfide and methane odor due to slow decay. Begin in spring when water temperatures reach 40°F or above. Visible effects occur in 1 to 2 weeks. Full clearing will require 90 days or more depending on the extent of bottom buildup. AQUACLEAR Pellets work equally well in water containing high or low levels of dissolved oxygen. Optimum results occur in water with a temperature between 40°F and 95°F, and a pH of 6.5 to 8.0. Most surface waters fall within these ranges. AQUACLEAR Pellets are most effective if used within 18 months of purchase. AQUACLEAR Pellets sink quickly through the water and into the bottom muck layer. Water activates the pellets releasing the organisms which begin to consume nearby organic material. Organisms in AQUACLEAR Pellets will consume herbicides. Do not apply at the same time. Allow 3 weeks before or after herbicide application before applying AQUACLEAR Pellets. This does not apply to Cutrine-Plus. To apply AQUACLEAR Pellets simply broadcast uniformly over the water surface. Use 10 lbs. per 0.50 acre. Repeat weekly for 4 weeks or until desired water or bottom quality is achieved, continue monthly at half the initial rate to maintain a high level of water quality.
