  3. 2011-12 Agenda • Continue with traditional programs and new Professional Development focus • Develop closer ties to PTA and other school supporters • Grow awareness of SEF in schools and community • Build our fundraising program • Generate more $$ for Suffolk Public Schools

  6. SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE Awarded $11,000 in scholarships in 2012 … 2 New Scholarships

  7. CLASSROOM GRANTS • Awarded $12,398 in 2012 • More than $212,000awarded • over 17 years

  8. TUITION ASSISTANCE • Overall, provided about $26,000intuition assistance to students taking dual-credit classes • $6,000 will be distributed for 2012-13 school year

  9. EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION • Award $50 to quarterly Star Award winners • Award $500 CASH to City-Wide Teacher of the Year

  10. FUNDS RAISED = • Opportunities for extra funds for today’s classrooms • Teacher recognition support • Assistance with dual-credit tuition assistance and AP Test Fees • Scholarships for post-secondary studies for students • Support Professional Development opportunities

  14. 2012-13 Initiatives • Continue 2011-12 initiatives & programming • Add a Fall Fundraiser • Solicit more Instructional Grant requests • Increase Scholarship application numbers • Continue to develop PTA partnership • Plan and hold a School Board Forum, perhaps for candidates or on another topic • Establish a Corporate Recognition Program
