Market Status in the U.S. • In 2007: • 5,244 MW added • Cumulative over 16,800 MW • 45% growth 2006 to 2007 • Over 18% annual growth over past 15 years. • U.S. is the world’s largest market for new capacity since 2005. • Wind capacity has been the second largest new energy source in the U.S. since 2005, second only to new natural gas capacity.
