  26. Objectives and Target Outputs of this Seminar

  27. Objectives of this Seminar • To assess the impact of the ACTRAV-Turin Training Programme (A3-2387/2001) on • (a) the personal development of the participants' skills and expertise in the field of OSHE • (b) the institutional developments within his/her organizations on the subject areas, and • (c) quantitative and qualitative improvements over the OSHE situations in their respective countries/industries/workplaces; • To review the level of implementation of the individual work plans developed by the participants in 2001; • To update and further enhance the participants’ skill and expertise on the issue of OSHE; and • To identify current training needs of the participants' countries/organizations in the field of OSHE.

Development Objectives of the 2001 Training Course • Strengthening the participants’ general capacity in the areas of OSHE, with particular focus on consolidating the role of OSHE departments and/or officers in charge within the national center and the different branches of the organizations; • Developing more systematic trade union policies and training programmes on OSHE at national level; and • Promoting the level of understanding amongst union officials on the issue of OSHE at stake and institutional arrangements concerning OSHE at workplaces.

Assessment of the Impact of the 2001 Training Course • Level of achievement of the development objectives; • Institutional and personal capacity development on OSHE • Training policies and programmes on OHSE • More awareness among trade union officials on OHSE • Use of your acquired knowledge and skills by your organization; and • Use of training resources/materials distributed at the Turin Programme

Target Outputs • Evaluations of the impact of the ACTRAV-Turin training programme; • A list of suggestions to the ACTRAV-Turin training course on OHSE for further improvement; • Model training courses/sessions on OHSE; • A list of training needs of Asia/Pacific trade unions on OHSE issues; and • Action plan(s) on OHSE for future initiatives by the group.
