  5. Wiki Task Homework for half term: • Write a substantial paragraph (around 400 words) that describes and explains your topic on the wiki. • Fact check and actively edit your partner’s work.

Editing Writing • Be bold – the aim is to improve every entry to A* level! • Ensure spelling, grammar and punctuation is excellent and the writing is very clear and readable. • Ensure all the requirements of the “writing” instructions are met. • Make additions and changes as you feel necessary. • Ensure the layout is clear – separated sections/paragraphs? Bullet points? • Is everything clearly linked to the history of medicine? Remove anything that isn’t, i.e. general information. • Add any specific examples that you can. • Check for length – is it detailed enough but not too wordy? • Introduce the topic in one or two sentences. • Explain significance to medical history. Progress? Limiting factors? – Good detail here please! • Give some detailed information/examples • Use key vocab correctly • Use your notes for information and your own words. Use the internet to check details but NOTHING should be copied and pasted. • Use bold and italics to highlight anything that is particularly important • Suggest any linked topics. • Look at “Ancient Egypt -> Wealth” for an example.
