Método • 433 hipertensos de ambos gêneros sem restrição de idade; • Responderam a questionário durante visita de agentes comunitárias; • Foi realizado: • Análise geral dos dados encontrados; • Divisão da amostra em 2 grupos: Grupo I (idade inferior a 60 anos) e Grupo II (idade acima de 60 anos). Objetivo Verificar a prevalência de queixas auditivas e vestibulares de hipertensos atendidos no Programa de Saúde da Família

Resultados 64% dos entrevistados foram do gênero feminino; há mais mulheres com o avanço da idade; 73,3% com alguma queixa auditva e/ou vestibular; concorda com a literatura; Grupo II apresenta maior deficuldade para ouvir - provável presbiacusia. • Conclusão • Dos 433 indivíduos hipertensos estudados, 317 (73,2 %) possuem queixa auditiva e/ou vestibular e 177 (40,9%) referem apenas queixa vestibular (tontura).
