Idaho Trauma Registry Background • Established by Idaho Code §57-2003 • All acute care hospitals • All patients meeting inclusion criteria • Injury surveillance system • At minimum identify • Access to care issues • Performance of emergency medical systems • Costs of trauma care • Outcomes for trauma victims

Inclusion Criteria • Include: • Dislocations, sprains, strains, fractures • Open wounds / Crushing injuries • Internal injuries / Intracranial injuries • Drowning / nonfatal submersions • Asphyxiation / strangulation • Electric current • Additionally: • Admission as in-patient • Transfer between acute care hospitals by EMS • Death
