  2. Smoke from forest fires in Sumatra, Indonesia, caused air pollution to hit unhealthy levels in several places on the Malaysia Peninsula, with conditions worsening considerably the day before. The readings on the pollutant standards Index (PSI) stayed in the moderate range the day before in Singapore. Motorist drove with their headlights on during the day, and the police officers distributed face masks to residents-some of who, complained of breathing difficulties- as the haze became thicker the day before.

  3. My Thoughts I feel that the farmers in Sumatra are rather inconsiderate. Burning the field to have a new and clean piece of land to plant crops. Irregarding about polluting the environment and that contributes to Global Warming. The Smoke from the fire has caused haze to its neighboring countries e.g. Malaysia and Singapore. Global Warming is caused by mankind actions like what is happening in Sumatra right now. The farmers should immediately stop all burning as it will affect the Earth more and this si the worse year of the haze.
