  1. Welcome to Oakland Catholic High School! Spirituality, Scholarship, Service

  2. Today isThursday, May 22 Day 5

  3. Student council senator elections will be next week! Students who were candidates for class offices and did not make the office will be placed ontheSENATOR ballot (ALONG WITH THOSE WHO FILLED OUT A CONTRACT FOR SENATOR). If you do not wish to run for senator, tell Mrs. Benedik in Room G24 before the end of the day.

  4. There will be a Shakespeare Club meeting on Tuesday May 27 in J303 (Mrs.Rinkacs Room) after school

  5. Tennis Coaches will be at all Lunches Friday May 23 to talk to all students that my be interested in playing Tennis and volunteering opportunities over the summer.

  6. All Track team members must turn their team uniforms in by Thursday to the Athletic Office.  • They must be clean and in a bag with your name on bag.

  7. Congratulations to the following students: Juniors Madeline Cavalier, Anastasia Bodea-Crisian, and Anna Roebuck. • They were accepted into Pittsburgh World Affairs Council's Summer Seminar on Global Issues. • The Seminar will be held at the University of Pittsburgh and  is  "designed to help students understand and think critically about their world—and the various issues, connections, and perspectives within it

  8. Congratulations, PJAS Students • The following students earned first place at the State awards this weekend! • Christine Parrish- Math • Sabrina Helbig- Biology • Colleen Doyle- Biochemistry • Chloe Stiles - Microbiology • Also, Mia Fratto (Chemistry) and Meredith Flanagan( Behavioral Science) earned second place awards. • Mia Fratto interviewed and won a scholarship to the Penn State Agriculture Sciences.  This is a $ 2000.00 renewable scholarship each of the 8 semesters of study. She want to do Food Science so this is fantastic!  • Colleen Doyle earned a 6 year Perseverance Award and Angela Santucci won a 5 year Perseverance Award

  9. Congratulations to Taylor McCorkle for winning the 100 meter Dash at WPIAL's in 11:96 sec. Awesome!! Good luck at States!

Masque, OC Acting Club, and lovers of theater, are you ready to beef up your Acting skills?Join Mrs. Benacquista’sSummer Acting Workshop! 6 Saturdays through the summer Noon – 4:00pm in the JOA Theater email: jbbena@yahoo.com $45 dollars per student Dates: June 14th and 28th July 19th and 26th August 9th and 16th (It is okay to miss 1 or 2. $7.50 will be taken off price for each scheduled miss)
