    • 1815-1825

    • Time of peace, pride and progress

  • Won an international war – War of 1812

  • Settled, in our favor, many border and land use disputes.

    • Examples:

      • Rush-Bagot Agreement

      • Adams – Onis Agreement

      • Convention 1818

      • Monroe Doctrine

  • Increased Manufacturing

  • Increased power and control of the federal government

  • Create a National Bank

  • Tariff on all imported goods

  • Internal improvements like roads and canals
