  5. Aim The Welsh Information Literacy Project aims to promote the understandingand development of information literacy in education, the workplace and the wider community in Wales

Objectives • An overarching statement on information literacy in Wales • A web presence for the project • A report on information literacy provision in across library sectors in Wales • An Information Literacy Framework for Wales • Accredited units of learning in information literacy • Advocacy for IL in schools • Support IL amongst public library staff and users • Analysis of information literacy in employability agenda

  12. Targets 2012/13 • Two pilots embedding IL framework in schools • Identify IL Champions amongst each local authority library service • Support IL training of public library staff in 5 authorities • Support the delivery of Agored IL units to public library users in two authorities
