  2. Background • Born May 28, 1986 in Memphis, Tennessee • Mother was an alcoholic and drug addict • Father was murdered • He was basically homeless and lived in several foster homes

  3. Early Life • Attended 11 different schools during his first 9 years of school • Leigh Anne Tuohy and her wealthy, republican family took him in and gave him a home. • Went go to Briarcrest Christian School • Played foot ball and was the offensive tackle

  4. Education • Had an IQ of 80 and GPA of .6 • He needed a tutor in order to keep his grades up so that he was eligible to play foot ball who worked with him for 20 hours a week • Got his GPA to a 2.52

  5. Going into College • Received scholarships offers from the University of Tennessee, Louisiana University, Auburn University, University of South Carolina, and the University of Mississippi • All of them because they wanted him to play offensive tackle on their foot ball team

  6. University of Mississippi • Chose the University of Mississippi because it is the college that his new family went to • Freshman year he played 11 games • 10 of them he started as right guard position • Sophomore year he became a breakout star in the highly-competitive SEC (Southeastern Conference)

  7. Career • In the 2009 NFL Draft, He got Drafted to play for the Baltimore Ravensand assigned num. 74 • He signed a 5 year contract of $13.8 million • Played as right tackle and left tackle • Started in every game, 11 at right tackle, 5 at left

  8. What We Know Him For • He wrote an autobiography about his life story • They made an Academy Award nominated movie based on his life starring a country singer and an actress that has been in several different movies. Can You Guess Who He Is?. . .
