What role did your character play in the trials? • One of the main accusers of the Salem witch trials. • Made 41 legal complaints and gave formal testimony in 7 cases. • Transcript- accused ghost of Martha Kory that she had haled Abigail to and fro, pinched her, and tempted her to put her hand to the Devil’s book, and that she had seen Martha at the devils sacrament several times.

What was the historical figures in social and economic status in the Salem community? • Involved as a child so she didn’t do anything for a living yet. • After Abigail’s last testimony in 1692 she ran away and disappeared from Salem. • No evidence of what happened to Abigail after the events. • It’s suggested that she became a prostitute to make a living, never got married, and died as a single woman.

  4. How old was your character at the time? • she was 11 years old at the start of the trials.

  5. Was your character regarded as a good Christian? • No accurate information on Abigail being a “good Christian.” • Lived with her uncle reverend Parris so she must have practiced some Christianity, but not considered as a ‘good’ Christian.

  6. WAS THERE ANY GOSSIP GOING AROUND ABOUT YOUR CHARATER? • There wasn’t information about gossip. • Most likely was though because she was one of the first victims, and accused many. • Provided her self with crazy gossip like the stories of seeing 40 witches drinking blood, and flying around.

  7. What was your characters reputation in the community? • Her reputation was known as the first accuser in the witch trials and that she was crazy and strange.

  8. Did you character suffer from ill health or any other sort of hardships? • Signs of illness in the mid January of 1692. • Signs of erratic behavior. Declared influence of evil hand.

  9. Did your character bear a grudge against anyone in the community or did the people in the community dislike her? • They never mentioned anyone having grudges or disliking one another. • Considering Abigail accused many innocent people of being witches the community disliked her.

  10. Do you like your character? Why or why not? • Don’t like her. • she accused innocent people as being witches. • killed at least 20 people.

  11. What else should we know about your character? • They feel as if Abigail accused so many people and had such insane fits and crazy stories because.. • She wanted attention. • Didn’t have parents and never got the attention most kids had. • Liked the attention the trails gave her.
