First impression • Before reading this book I thought ‘just do read hard and my English skill will improve. • I want like to adventure book. But I bought with no definite idea. When I saw book cover, just got. This book seemed easy. So I like to this book.
Background of the story • The family do not die at sea, they find their way to a small island.
Summary of the story • It was the seventh day of the storm. They didn’t know theywere the day, it was not as windy and sky clear. they could see that we were near land. At last everything was ready, and they lowered the boat into sea. They took guns and gun powder, and bags of food. They took some cooking pots, the tools, nails and knives. They reached the ship quite easily. The animals were in good health and had enough food. Then they had some food and went to sleep. At last, we got all the animals into the water. Then we climbed in to the boat and put up the sail. There was a strong wind, and we soon reached the land. I cut the barrels from the animals, and they came up on to the beach. They were glad to be on land again. At last, they were ready to start. They put our other things inside the tent and closed it carefully. They had beautiful house. They slept on the ship that night. Just then, the wind began, and it pushed the boat towards the land. My wife and the boys were waiting for us. We quickly took our things off the boat and put them on the sledge. The summer ended and the winter passed. ‘Quick! Quick!’ he cried. ‘there`s a ship!’ they waited, then used the gun again, and the answer came, louder and nearer. Then we saw a boat coming towards the beach. An officer stepped out. And they saved.
Conflict • Conflict: when storm came to family in the sea, they fell at sea. But they didn’t die so far, so they did conflict. “What should I do in this situation right now is not it?” they had no hope. but they didn’t chose to die. So they were live. • This conflict is external conflict. Die to sea or will go island. • Root cause of the conflict is caused by storm.
climax • Climax: one day boy met Jenny in island. So he brought the Jenny to family. Family and Jenny live together. One day ship coming to family and Jenny. This ship is Jenny’s father ship. So they return to Europe. • When it happen, I was very happy. Because of just happy ending.
Characters 1 • I think look at the main characters ‘challenging position is very good and they will have save anyhow.’ • They like sledge. Donkey push sledge, family ride a sledge. They was happy. • It is entertaining book for us. It is natural, it have not mystery.
