Interoperability of M2 andGödöllői HÉV suburban railway Aim • Interconnect ion of M2 and Gödöllői HÉV suburban railway • New feeder line to Rákoskeresztúr • Analysis of future operation mode of the lines; (power supply, vehicle, etc.) • Impacts of the interoperability and the feeder line to the public transport and road network • Effects of the interoperability: Two eastern districts of Pest and some affected suburban towns will get a high quality public transport Status • Public procurement tender evaluation is in progress • Expected contracting: May 2013 • Feasibility study: September 2014 Cost of preparation: 1,7 mill EUR Total project cost: 570 mill EUR

The southern sector of metro line M5 Aim • Interconnection of Northern and Southern HÉV suburban railways underneath Budapest city centre • Extension of southern section up to Astoria • Southern HÉV suburban railways don’t reach the city centre • Now from the present terminus the city centre can be reached only with 1 or 2 transfers • The main problem of the line is the lack of urban connection • Has to be clarified: Mode, height of platforms, Place of the terminus in Csepel, Connection to lines M2-M3-M4, Possibility of integration with MÁV suburban railway Status • Public procurement tender evaluation is in progress • Expected contracting: May 2013 • Development options: November 2013 • Feasibility study: November 2014 Cost of preparation: 1,9 mill EUR Total project cost: 500 mill – 1,3 bill EUR

Reconstruction of tram line 2 Aim Preliminary study: • Viaduct between Eötvös and Március 15. squares • Boráros square interconnection with tram line 2 and 4/6-os with regard on accessibility • Interconnection of tramline 2 and 51 Feasibility study, united permitting and technical design: • Reconstruction of terminal and stops (accessibility) respectively to new rolling stock (36 m) • Reconstruction of Lánchíd tunnel • Development of Széchenyi István square Status • Evaluation of application for TOP funding is in progress at IB • Procurement documents for FS are ready to start quality control process • Expected contracting: August 2013 • Feasibility study and preliminary study: February 2014 Cost of preparation: 800.000 EUR Total project cost: 22 mill EUR

Reconstruction and extension ofBudapest Cog-wheel Railway Aim • Reconstruction of infrastructure • Extension to Normafa and SzéllKálmán square • Eligibility of bicycle transport • New rolling stock to ensure interoperability • Possibility of nostalgic lines Status • Preliminary design is ready, preliminary theoretical type licencing process for rolling stock has been started • For further development studies TOP application will be submitted to the IB • Design for approval and united permitting and technicaldesigns and obtaining permits: 31 August 2015 Cost of preparation: 2,5 mill EUR Total project cost: 67 mill EUR
